Arsenal fans name who they want to replace Emery

Fans of Arsenal have been having their say on their preferred candidate to replace Unai Emery, who has dismissed in November after a run of seven games in all competitions without a win.

That sequence also contributed to making up the club’s worst set of results in 27 years, before the reign of Arsene Wenger.

After having revitalised Arsenal as a title-winning force and one of the institutions of English football during his 22 years in charge, the Frenchman’s presence still looms large over the Emirates Stadium.

Finding a new head coach to follow in his foosteps and not only bring success back to the team but to do so in a style befitting the positive play that became a trademark for the Gunners under Wenger will be key.

That task falls to the technical staff now at London Colney, including technical director Edu Gaspar and head of football Raul Sanllehi, with board members such as Josh Kroenke and his father Stan set to be handed a recommendation on the next appointment soon.

However, football.london have put the question out to Arsenal fans and their suggestions are a compelling mix of experience, excitement and, in some instances, the exotic.
